Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle including reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, and financial reporting
• Oversee job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules across multiple active projects
• Manage percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing for residential, commercial, and federal projects
• Lead the integration and optimization of external applications with QuickBooks Online
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and subcontractor payments
• Ensure compliance for federally funded projects, including certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies as the business scales

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies
• Proven experience owning a full-cycle accounting function
• Strong knowledge of construction or job-costed accounting practices
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Slack, and Google Workspace
• Experience managing external stakeholders and cross-functional relationships
• Must be currently based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe
• Full professional fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Experience with federal or government-funded project accounting (DCAA, certified payroll)
• Experience with Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, or Ramp
• Familiarity with construction software like JobNimbus or AccuLynx
