Accounting & Reporting Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and statutory reporting for Blueground's UAE entity, ensuring full compliance with local regulations
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations including AP, AR, payroll, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany entries
• Drive month-end and year-end close processes, delivering accurate management and statutory accounts on time
• Prepare statutory financial statements under IFRS and UAE GAAP, maintaining technical accounting positions on leases, revenue recognition, and fixed assets
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors, managing the audit process from planning through sign-off
• Handle UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, including filings and correspondence with the Federal Tax Authority
• Act as statutory representative for the UAE entity with signatory authority on regulatory and banking matters
• Support treasury and cash management, including banking relationships and intercompany settlements

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience with strong general ledger and statutory reporting background
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Proven experience preparing statutory accounts and managing external audits independently
• Solid working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance
• Experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments; UAE or GCC experience preferred
• Deep technical IFRS knowledge with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
