Accounts Receivable Specialist

Responsibilities

• Prepare and accurately resubmit corrected claims to insurance companies adhering to payer guidelines
• Conduct analysis of first pass rejected claims to ensure clean claim submission
• Research and follow-up on the status of primary and secondary billing claims
• Review, assess, and process claim appeals with supporting documentation
• Evaluate customer accounts and recommend adjustments or write-offs to management
• Identify and report billing problems, errors, or discrepancies to ensure revenue integrity
• Generate and distribute monthly patient balance due statements

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in medical insurance claims billing and collections preferred
• Proficiency in Google for Business, MS Office, Excel, and Word
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong problem-solving aptitude
• Customer success-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with physical therapy EMR systems
