AI Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agent workflows and LLM-powered systems for real business use cases
• Develop and integrate tools for agents, including APIs, internal services, databases, and knowledge sources
• Improve agent quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost through testing and iteration
• Build prompt structures, orchestration logic, memory patterns, and human handoff flows
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to translate business problems into practical AI solutions
• Contribute to backend services and internal platforms to support end-to-end delivery

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• 0–3 years of software engineering, AI engineering, or relevant internship/project experience
• Strong programming fundamentals in Java, Python, or TypeScript
• Good software engineering judgment regarding APIs, debugging, system design, and data handling
• Strong curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, tool use, retrieval, and production AI systems
• Ability to learn new domains quickly and work effectively in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Personal projects or hackathons involving LLM apps, AI agents, RAG, or automation
• Familiarity with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, vector databases, or agent frameworks
• Experience with backend systems, cloud environments, or observability
• Exposure to fintech, crypto, or customer support systems
