AI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build LLM-powered systems including RAG, agents, copilots, and automation tools
• Design data pipelines for structured and unstructured data such as PDFs, APIs, and databases
• Implement retrieval systems using vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search
• Integrate and evaluate various models including OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, and open-source options
• Ship APIs and microservices using FastAPI, Flask, or Node
• Implement prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails
• Deploy systems on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or IBM
• Monitor system performance regarding accuracy, latency, cost, and failure modes
• Work directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into shipped systems

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and Typescript/Node
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and modern AI stacks
• Experience building RAG systems and working with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Milvus)
• Proven experience in API development using FastAPI, Flask, or Express
• Proficiency in SQL and intermediate data engineering skills
• Solid understanding of cloud fundamentals, Docker, and CI/CD

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IBM Watsonx components
• Proficiency with LangChain or LlamaIndex
• Experience with HuggingFace models and pipelines
• Familiarity with open-source LLMs such as LLaMA, Mistral, or Mixtral
• Knowledge of basic ML evaluation techniques and prompt testing frameworks
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of knowledge graphs and embeddings tuning
