AI Project Lead

Responsibilities

• Run client engagements end-to-end across web, mobile, AI-native, and emerging product surfaces
• Translate ambiguous briefs into structured delivery, working prototypes, and shipped product
• Collaborate closely with design and engineering leads on the work itself
• Present work clearly to clients and internal teams, holding the line on scope, budget, and quality
• Use AI tools and agents as a core part of your workflow to triage, draft, prioritize, and summarize
• Build, test and maintain skills, agents, and workflows like code to improve the team's operating system

Requirements

• Project delivery experience at a digital product agency, studio, or consultancy in a Senior or Lead role
• Experience with product delivery at a startup, scale-up, or large organization
• Demonstrated mastery of running projects end-to-end including prioritization, sequencing, and scope management
• Hands-on experience building with AI, such as shipping skills, agents, or automated workflows
• Strong bias toward owning outcomes and carrying product, user, and technical context across teams
• Sharp judgment on product prioritization and shipping cycles
• Passion for staying ahead of how AI is changing product delivery

About the Company

Zero is a small team inside Metalab that explores new tools, workflows, and ways of building products. The team splits effort between full-time R&D and running client projects to test research in real-world scenarios.
