AI SEO Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop AI search optimization strategies for platforms including ChatGPT, Google SGE, Gemini, and Perplexity
• Conduct keyword and intent research focused on both traditional and AI-driven search behavior
• Structure and optimize service pages and location-specific landing pages for AI and local search visibility
• Perform technical SEO audits to improve crawlability, indexing, and AI readability
• Manage local citations, directory listings, and Google Business Profile optimization
• Monitor brand visibility across AI search platforms and provide monthly performance reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve structured data and schema markup for AI-generated responses
• Collaborate with and direct implementation team members on SEO action items

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in SEO (beyond basic VA tasks)
• Expertise in AI search optimization strategy and semantic search content optimization
• Strong understanding of local SEO and Google Business Profile ranking factors
• Ability to build comprehensive keyword strategies and conduct deep competitor analysis
• Proficiency with Canva, Gamma, and Gsuite
• Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, or SEMrush

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with on-page SEO implementation frameworks (titles, headers, internal linking)
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to explain ranking fluctuations
• Ability to provide clear direction for implementers without micromanaging execution
• Understanding of backlink authority-building and outreach strategies
