Job description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces: cleaning, masking, sanding, and removing old paint or contaminants
  • Apply primers, base coats, and topcoats per manufacturer and industry standards
  • Operate spray painting equipment to ensure even, accurate application
  • Follow blueprints and instructions for custom designs, logos, and lettering
  • Inspect painted surfaces for thickness, gloss, and color uniformity
  • Repair and touch up paintwork to meet regulatory and aesthetic standards
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment and tools
  • Comply with safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Record materials used and document painting procedures
  • Coordinate with maintenance team to meet delivery schedules
  • Ensure environmental compliance for chemicals and hazardous materials
  • Assist in developing painting schedules and timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in aircraft painting or related field (preferred)
  • Understanding of aviation painting regulations (FAA, EASA) and standards
  • Training in safe handling of hazardous materials (e.g., OSHA/WHMIS)
