Albanian Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate OPI/VRI interpretation between Albanian and English for healthcare and legal calls
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Apply industry-specific medical terminology and standards of practice
• Maintain professional conduct and comply with dress code for video interpreting
• Take detailed notes and facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients
• Complete internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leadership and maintain high customer service standards

Requirements

• Native fluency in Albanian and fluent English proficiency
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Wired internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload); Wi-Fi not permitted
• Windows 10 or higher, dual core 2GHz processor (Intel Core i3 or better), 8GB RAM minimum
• Wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone; no Bluetooth or wireless devices

Preferred Qualifications

• International healthcare certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
• Additional legal interpretation experience
