Job description

Responsibilities

  • Provide video remote interpreting (VRI) services for American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Assist Limited English Proficient (LEP) patients, their families, and healthcare providers
  • Advocate for LEP patients' access to healthcare services through intercultural mediation
  • Ensure exceptional customer experience, patient privacy, and safety during sessions
  • Support providers in delivering culturally sensitive patient care

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working as an ASL Interpreter
  • Professional level medical interpreting experience
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications such as NIC, CI, EIC, or K-12 Ed
