AML/Compliance Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of AML/CTF, sanctions, and regulatory compliance programs in Slovakia and the EU
• Monitor transactions and customer activity, investigate alerts, and escalate suspicious activity
• Perform KYC, CDD, EDD, risk assessments, and PEP/sanctions screening
• Assist in preparing SARs, STRs, and other regulatory reports
• Support regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections
• Monitor AML/CTF regulatory developments and industry best practices
• Maintain accurate records of due diligence and investigations
• Review compliance documentation in Slovak and English

Requirements

• Native or fluent Slovak
• Fluent or near-fluent English (written and spoken)
• University degree
• Minimum 1 year of experience in AML compliance
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, JIRA, and Confluence
• Ability to attend early evening meetings to accommodate Canadian time zones
• Willingness to travel to Canada for training

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the cryptocurrency industry
• CAMS certification or other AML-related credentials
• Experience with AML monitoring systems
• Experience with Chainalysis
