Analyst II, BSA/AML Operations

Responsibilities

• Investigate alerts and cases generated from transaction monitoring systems related to merchant acquiring activity
• Analyze merchant-level transaction data including payment flows, MCC codes, and chargeback ratios
• Identify merchant acquiring-specific typologies such as transaction laundering, misclassification, and prohibited activity
• Prepare and file SARs with clear, well-structured narratives
• File CTRs accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards
• Review and investigate partner referrals and escalations involving sponsored merchants and payment facilitators
• Document investigative findings within Actimize case management systems
• Escalate high-risk or complex matters to management
• Maintain current knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, and FinCEN regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Criminal Justice, Accounting, Business, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in BSA/AML investigations, transaction monitoring, or fraud operations
• Knowledge of merchant acquiring risks and typologies
• Familiarity with Actimize, FCRM, or similar case management platforms
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret transaction data
• Excellent written communication skills for SAR narrative drafting

Preferred Qualifications

• CAMS or equivalent AML certification
• Advanced certifications such as CFE
• Experience in merchant acquiring or payments industry
