Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve insurance denials through effective communication with payers
• Navigate payer portals to monitor claim status and eligibility
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide necessary appeals and claims documentation
• Manage outstanding accounts receivable using medical collection practices
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance
• Ensure accuracy in data entry and record-keeping for billing activities
• Complete and document communication on accounts within EHR systems
• Meet department production standards and manage assigned work queues

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years of experience in medical claims collection
• Familiarity with aging reports, delinquent claims reports, and EOBs
• Proficiency in Physician Billing Systems (PB) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Strong mathematical skills for calculating discounts, interest, and percentages
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
