Arabic<>English Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Arabic<>English OPI/VRI interpretation services across healthcare and other industries
• Deliver accurate, complete, and culturally sensitive interpretations without adding, omitting, or altering content
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreter codes of conduct
• Keep current with industry-specific terminology, particularly in medical and healthcare settings
• Participate in internal training and pursue relevant certifications to enhance expertise

Requirements

• Fluent English and native Arabic speaker
• Minimum 1 year of OPI experience with a reputable interpretation company
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and communication skills
• Excellent listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare industry certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA)
• Knowledge of legal terminology
