The American Marketing Association (AMA) is the leading global professional marketing association and an essential community for marketers. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support the overall health and operations of Professional Chapters to ensure alignment with AMA's mission.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Professional Chapter leaders, resolving operational issues and providing resources.
  • Create chapter communications, newsletters, training materials, and operational guides.
  • Manage the Chapter Excellence Awards and the Ric Sweeney Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award.
  • Support PCC meeting planning, including logistics, scheduling, and follow-up communications.
  • Develop initiatives to strengthen volunteer engagement, leadership development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify and implement improvements to chapter programs, policies, and operational processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support membership growth and retention.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a non-profit organization or volunteer management
  • 3-5 years of experience in customer service
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
  • Strong relationship-building skills and commitment to cultivating trust
  • Clear and inclusive written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and resourceful with strong attention to detail
  • Self-starter mindset with an eagerness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Competence in Salesforce database management
  • Experience managing website content via CMS (e.g., WordPress or Payload)
