Assistant Professor, Didactic

Responsibilities

• Facilitate distance education instruction using innovative teaching methodologies and technologies
• Monitor, engage, and maintain open communication with learners regarding attendance, performance, and comprehension
• Attend nursing faculty meetings and participate in committees and shared decision-making
• Assist in the development and modification of the nursing curriculum
• Support various modalities including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching

Requirements

• Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution
• 1-2 years of experience in higher nursing education, preferably online
• Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from state of residence
• Ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in required jurisdictions
• Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commitment to obtain it within one year
• Current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice
