Responsibilities
- Lead the development of insurance product and market-specific competitive intelligence strategies across all served geographies.
- Oversee the creation of market insights related to growth, retention, product performance, and portfolio optimization.
- Translate market research, regulatory filings, and competitor activity into actionable executive-level recommendations.
- Manage a team focused on market intelligence, research, and competitive analysis, establishing priorities and development plans.
- Partner cross-functionally with actuarial, network, growth, and finance teams to support strategic planning and market-level decisions.
- Develop frameworks for competitor tracking, demographic sizing, and consumer insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, economics, marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, competitive intelligence, market research, or insurance product functions.
- 4+ years of experience in people leadership or direct team management.
- Deep understanding of ACA, individual and family plans, small group markets, and healthcare competitive dynamics.
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous data into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree (MBA, MPH, or MHA).
- Experience supporting health insurance product strategy or portfolio management.
- Experience building or scaling market intelligence and research functions from the ground up.
- Proficiency with analytics reporting platforms such as PowerBI, SQL, or Looker.
- Background in consulting or payer strategy.
