Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of insurance product and market-specific competitive intelligence strategies across all served geographies.
  • Oversee the creation of market insights related to growth, retention, product performance, and portfolio optimization.
  • Translate market research, regulatory filings, and competitor activity into actionable executive-level recommendations.
  • Manage a team focused on market intelligence, research, and competitive analysis, establishing priorities and development plans.
  • Partner cross-functionally with actuarial, network, growth, and finance teams to support strategic planning and market-level decisions.
  • Develop frameworks for competitor tracking, demographic sizing, and consumer insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, public health, economics, marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, competitive intelligence, market research, or insurance product functions.
  • 4+ years of experience in people leadership or direct team management.
  • Deep understanding of ACA, individual and family plans, small group markets, and healthcare competitive dynamics.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous data into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA, MPH, or MHA).
  • Experience supporting health insurance product strategy or portfolio management.
  • Experience building or scaling market intelligence and research functions from the ground up.
  • Proficiency with analytics reporting platforms such as PowerBI, SQL, or Looker.
  • Background in consulting or payer strategy.
