Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate grant opportunities regarding AI safety and governance
  • Communicate grantmaking reasoning through transparent reports and public writing
  • Source high-quality applications and manage relationships with grantees

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of AI safety and/or AI governance
  • Strong analytical skills and judgment under time pressure
  • High agency and proactive problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pre-existing networks in the AI safety ecosystems
  • Direct grantmaking, investment, or policy advising experience
  • Experience with LLM-assisted workflows or technical research
