Authorization Specialist II

Responsibilities

• Process incoming authorization packets and medical records requests
• Resolve missing Client ID and authorization-on-file issues
• Audit BPO authorization entry for accuracy and productivity
• Research and resolve authorization-related claim denials
• Submit and track RFS forms and renewal requests
• Maintain accurate authorization records across internal systems
• Partner with Billing and Eligibility teams to streamline the Pre-Bill process

Requirements

• 2+ years of medical billing, authorization, or patient access experience
• Strong attention to detail to prevent claim denials
• Comfort working across multiple systems including Fax platforms, EHR, and payer portals
• Ability to document decisions accurately at volume
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior VA/Community Care Network or government payer authorization experience
• Prior EAP authorization experience (Cigna, Octave, or similar)
• Experience working at a startup or high-growth company
