Authorization Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Own the authorization denial pipeline at the trend level
• Build and maintain automated workflows to reduce manual work
• Manage and develop an authorization team, including staffing and quality audits
• Own key partner relationships for authorization-specific issues
• Partner with Billing, Eligibility, and Coding to resolve cross-functional issues
• Prepare the function for new frameworks and partnerships

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in authorization, utilization management, patient access, or medical billing
• At least 1 year in a people management role
• SQL fluency or ability to ramp up quickly
• Analytical mindset to identify denial trends
• Process-driven approach to ability build repeatable workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior VA Community Care Network or government payer experience
• Prior Employee Assistance Program experience
• Experience building or scaling an operational function
• Hands-on SQL or workflow-automation experience
