Automated Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop System Test Automation Scripts using Selenium, Jest, Cucumber, and API testing tools
• Support Test Automation Solution Planning and Estimation
• Perform detailed test designs using software test engineering principles
• Elaborate requirements to enable Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD)
• Implement automated test tasks including Gherkin scripts, integration/regression scenarios, and test data management
• Improve existing test automation frameworks for speed and flexibility
• Gather non-functional performance requirements and strategize testing approaches
• Build performance testing frameworks using JMeter, Gatling, or other open source tools
• Measure system performance metrics including throughput, response times, and resource usage
• Collaborate with Application Development and DevOps teams to troubleshoot performance issues

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain Federal Government Public Trust
• 10+ years of full-lifecycle application development experience
• 3+ years of experience with AWS cloud platform
• 4+ years of experience with Selenium Grid/WebDriver, Cucumber/Gherkin, or API testing (RestAssured/Karate)
• Experience with JavaScript (React.js, Node.js, ES6+)
• Experience working with databases and various data formats
• Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Experience testing UI/UX best practices and 508 compliance
• Knowledge of JIRA and Serena Business Manager

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jest
• Experience with Protractor/Jasmin
• Experience with Github/Bitbucket
• Experience with JMeter or Gatling
