Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of core platform services for a ground communications and data-transport platform
• Design and build technology to support US Government satellite operations
• Act as both an individual contributor and a lead for junior engineers
• Own technical problems end-to-end

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience
• Extensive experience with Python, FastAPI, Postgres, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Experience working on multi-tenant services on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience architecting and building APIs and backend services
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with ITAR

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in space, satellite communications, or building ground systems
