Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop highly-scalable mobile internet backends for millions of users
• Work with Project Managers and development team members to determine new features and user stories
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to architecture patterns and vision
• Respond to production support calls for quick diagnosis and repair
• Participate in all team ceremonies including planning, grooming, and retrospectives
• Mentor less experienced team members

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years in a relevant role
• Based within Europe
• Strong experience with highly-scalable web backends and transactional systems
• Advanced proficiency in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and analysis
• Deep understanding of Microservices architecture
• Proficient in SQL
• Expert knowledge of technologies like RabbitMQ, MySQL, and Redis
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud
• Excellent communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, and iBATIS
