Backend Software Engineer

About the Company

Reacher is a YC backed AI SaaS platform building the operating system for TikTok Shop brands and creators. We are building key infrastructure for the creator economy and implementing AI with the world's largest brands and creators.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead product features end-to-end: research, design, implement, test, and ship
• Lead and shape engineering architecture and set standards for code quality
• Mentor and guide other engineers in adopting AI-native workflows
• Design scalable backend systems using Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and GCP
• Drive architectural decisions that maximize AI-assisted development velocity
• Translate customer requirements into polished user experiences

Requirements

• 2–6 years of professional full-stack experience at a product-first company
• Deep proficiency with modern AI coding tools, specifically Claude Code
• Strong systems thinking and architectural awareness
• Proven ability to leverage AI-driven workflows for problem-solving
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, and PostgreSQL
• Ability to thrive in high-urgency, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building autonomous agents with Claude Agent SDK or similar frameworks
• Experience with AI image/video generation tools (Midjourney, Runway, etc.)
• Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, and Tailwind
• Experience at an early-stage startup
• Experience with product analytics tools like Amplitude or Mixpanel
