Banner Finance Consultant

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to understand financial operations and requirements
• Consult with clients on using various technological tools to improve business processes
• Configure the Banner financial module to meet business needs
• Provide expertise in using Banner to improve and automate business processes within the finance office at a college or university
• Assist in testing and implementation of financial software
• Troubleshoot issues related to system usage, configuration, and data integrity
• Provide end-user training and support documentation
• Keep abreast of industry changes and recommend system enhancements to increase efficiency

Requirements

• 5 or more years working within the Higher Education Industry
• 5 or more years of experience working with Ellucian Banner
• Experience implementing the Banner Finance module at a college or university
• Strong knowledge of financial operations including general accounting, budgeting, and purchasing
• Experience in a consulting capacity focusing on business process enhancement
• Ability to troubleshoot functional issues within Banner
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing project-based work
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant
