Borrower Advocate

Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate with a pipeline of borrowers regarding loan terms and servicing processes
• Monitor project progress and provide support for challenges like delays or budget overruns
• Investigate and resolve post-closing borrower inquiries and disputes
• Assist borrowers with statements, payment schedules, and online portal access
• Proactively reach out to at-risk borrowers to prevent loan defaults
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive borrower experience
• Document all customer interactions accurately in the system of record

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 1 year of mortgage-related collection, customer service, or sales experience
• Knowledge of the mortgage life-cycle and processing steps
• Ability to build relationships and work in a team environment
• Broad knowledge of real estate transaction methods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership or team-lead experience
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of Tax, Escrow Analysis, Mortgage Insurance, and Hazard Insurance
