Brand Design Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the visual direction of Joud across brand, campaign, packaging, menu, retail, and in-store applications
• Build Arabic-first and bilingual design systems where Arabic is treated as a primary design language
• Create original illustrations, icons, patterns, and custom graphic assets
• Develop packaging concepts for coffee bags, bakery items, cups, and merchandise
• Design campaign visuals for product launches, seasonal moments (Ramadan, Eid), and store openings
• Translate regional cultural references into modern, premium, and commercially usable brand design
• Work closely with marketing, photography, and production teams to ensure brand consistency

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating branding, packaging, and illustration expertise
• Exceptional Arabic design capability, including professional reading, writing, and typography skills
• Strong ability to create custom visual assets like patterns, stamps, and borders
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong understanding of print, packaging, and how designs translate to physical products
• Ability to create work that feels premium, artistic, and culturally relevant without being cliché
• Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to work full-time from Abu Dhabi

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Procreate, iPad/stylus, or Figma
• Background in hospitality, F&B, lifestyle, or retail branding
• Experience with motion direction or AI creative tools
