Bulgarian Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Bulgarian-English interpretation via phone and video for healthcare and other industries
• Render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter code of ethics
• Take detailed notes during calls to ensure accuracy
• Apply specialized medical and industry-specific terminology appropriately
• Facilitate clear communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leadership and comply with dress code for video interpreting

Requirements

• Native Bulgarian and fluent English proficiency
• 1+ years of telephone interpretation experience with a recognized interpretation company
• Solid knowledge of medical terminology; legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Healthcare industry certifications preferred (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.)
• High emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Dedicated wired internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload)
• Windows 10 or higher with dual core 2 GHz processor and 8 GB RAM minimum
• Wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth)
