Job description

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and prioritize new mission opportunities across commercial, civil (NASA), and national security space customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective customers, prime contractors, and government program offices
  • Develop account plans and lead executive-level customer briefings
  • Lead capture strategy including competitive assessment, win themes, and price-to-win
  • Partner with Mission Management to translate customer needs into executable mission concepts
  • Drive proposal development and own customer-facing narratives and value propositions
  • Shape opportunities pre-RFP through white papers, RFI responses, and demonstrations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the space or aerospace industry
  • At least 4 years in business development, capture, or customer-facing program roles
  • Proven track record of winning space-related contracts
  • Technical understanding of space missions, spacecraft, ground systems, and launch
  • Familiarity with the U.S. space ecosystem (NASA, Space Force, NRO, DoD/IC)
  • U.S. person status as defined by ITAR

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in an engineering, physics, or technical management discipline
  • Active U.S. government security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI)
  • Experience leading capture for space missions exceeding $10M
  • Established relationships with U.S. government space customers or prime contractors
  • Experience with rideshare, hosted payload, or ISAM mission constructs
  • Familiarity with mission assurance standards and government acquisition pathways
  • PMP or INCOSE CSEP/ESEP certification
