Business Intelligence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain dbt models to encode business logic, metric definitions, and dimensional structures
• Own the Amazon QuickSight environment including data source connections, SPICE datasets, and access controls
• Lead the technical migration from Mode to QuickSight
• Ensure data quality and model accuracy for homegrown analytics agents
• Design and maintain outcomes reporting packages for external payor audiences
• Evaluate and implement LLM-assisted BI tools to accelerate report creation and analysis

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI architecture
• Deep SQL proficiency and strong data modeling skills
• Extensive experience with dbt (models, tests, DAG management)
• Hands-on experience with Amazon QuickSight or a comparable BI platform
• Ability to communicate complex data model decisions to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with clinical data, healthcare outcomes metrics, or payor reporting
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines, vector databases, or AI inference infrastructure
• Background in high-compliance environments such as HIPAA or SOC 2
• Experience migrating between BI platforms (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
