Cambodian Interpreter - Remote OPI/VRI

Responsibilities

• Answer calls professionally and adhere to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take accurate notes during calls and render all messages completely without adding, omitting, or substituting
• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient speakers and clients in healthcare and legal settings
• Apply industry-specific vocabulary and standards of practice
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue relevant certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code requirements for video remote interpreting

Requirements

• Native Cambodian speaker with fluent English proficiency
• High school diploma in your native language
• High emotional intelligence and tolerance for different cultures
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• 1+ years of OPI/VRI experience preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of medical and legal terminology preferred
• Healthcare industry certifications (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Windows 10 or higher with dual-core 2GHz processor (Intel Core i5 or superior)
• 8GB RAM minimum, computer operating in "High Performance" mode
• Wired internet connection with minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload (Wi-Fi not allowed)
• USB wired noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone (no Bluetooth or wireless)
• Single computer or laptop only—no external devices, Chromebooks, or Macs permitted
