Capex Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end ASC 360 PP&E and lease accounting, from capitalization costing through the full asset lifecycle to month-end close and reconciliations
• Manage lease accounting under ASC 842, including classification, ROU/lease-liability accounting, and disclosures
• Oversee the SAP footprint including Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Project System (PS), and Materials Management (MM)
• Build and run data and reporting layers using SQL/BigQuery pipelines for accrual automation and large-scale reconciliations
• Grow, mentor, and develop the accounting team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
• 10 years of progressive accounting experience in a capital-intensive industry
• 5 years of direct people management experience
• 2 years of experience operating SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Project System (PS), and Materials Management (MM)
• 5 years of experience owning month-end close and supporting external audits under US GAAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Data and analytics capability with SQL or BigQuery
• Experience standing up and scaling fixed-asset and lease functions
• Familiarity with group/composite-asset methods and business combinations (ASC 805)
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and self-direct in unstructured environments
