Job description

Responsibilities

  • Own high-volume inbound patient and provider communication queues across phone, email, chat, and SMS
  • Serve as the first point of contact for patients, resolving inquiries in real time
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments for GI Providers, Registered Dietitians, and Behavioral Health Providers
  • Respond to billing and insurance questions, explaining benefit design and cost-share
  • Triage clinical questions, manage pharmacy inquiries, and coordinate prescription requests
  • De-escalate challenging interactions with empathy and document interactions in real time
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and suggest improvements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of remote chat-based customer service experience
  • Fluency in healthcare terminology and clinical concepts
  • Experience in health insurance navigation and explaining benefits
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Athena Health)
  • Proficiency in Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in telehealth or a digital health environment
  • Strong critical thinking and triage skills
  • Experience in a high-growth startup or mission-driven healthcare organization
