Job description
Responsibilities
- Own high-volume inbound patient and provider communication queues across phone, email, chat, and SMS
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, resolving inquiries in real time
- Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments for GI Providers, Registered Dietitians, and Behavioral Health Providers
- Respond to billing and insurance questions, explaining benefit design and cost-share
- Triage clinical questions, manage pharmacy inquiries, and coordinate prescription requests
- De-escalate challenging interactions with empathy and document interactions in real time
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and suggest improvements
Requirements
- 3+ years of remote chat-based customer service experience
- Fluency in healthcare terminology and clinical concepts
- Experience in health insurance navigation and explaining benefits
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Athena Health)
- Proficiency in Zoom, Slack, and Google Workspace
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in telehealth or a digital health environment
- Strong critical thinking and triage skills
- Experience in a high-growth startup or mission-driven healthcare organization
Benefits
- Salary Range: $45,000 – $52,000
