Job description

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the product line for Careem Groceries
  • Design the go-to-market strategy for grocery, pharmacy, and retail products
  • Align selection strategy with overall department & business goals
  • Identify category-specific sourcing needs and sourcing key consumer trends
  • Source and negotiate selection to meet business objectives with competitive terms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, supply chain, and pricing teams
  • Ensure successful product launches and maintain accurate product content and visibility
  • Maintain supplier relationships through regular business reviews and growth planning
  • Ensure stock availability and smooth onboarding for new items

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years' experience in grocery Buying or Category Management
  • Experience negotiating with manufacturers, FMCGs, or brand owners
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Hands-on attitude and perseverance
  • Strong analytical skills are a plus
