Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the product line for Careem Grocery, designing the go-to-market strategy.
  • Define and maintain selection strategies in alignment with business requirements and consumer trends.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure best prices, quality, and minimum order quantities (MOQ).
  • Collaborate with merchandising, supply chain, and pricing teams to ensure campaign success, stock availability, and category profitability.
  • Manage supplier relationships through regular business reviews and growth planning.
  • Oversee item content hygiene and app visibility in coordination with category assistants.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the grocery industry, specifically in Buying or Category Management.
  • Proven experience negotiating with manufacturers, FMCGs, or brand owners.
  • Strong analytical skills to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to build partnerships.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to persevere in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in tech or a startup environment is a plus.
