Job Description
Responsibilities
- Own P&L and assortment strategy for Snacks & Frozen in the UAE
- Develop sourcing strategies; lead supplier negotiations and onboarding
- Optimize pricing, promotions, and vendor terms to drive growth
- Maintain high availability with supply chain and demand planning
- Partner with marketing and product to increase SKU visibility and conversion
- Monitor category performance, customer feedback, and market trends to refine strategy
- Ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with legal, finance, and compliance
Requirements
- 5–8 years in category management, merchandising, procurement, or strategic sourcing, ideally in grocery retail or FMCG
- Proven ownership of commercial KPIs with margin and growth delivery
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and data tools
- Entrepreneurial drive, ownership mindset, and bias for action
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication
Preferred Qualifications
- E-grocery or FMCG marketplace experience in the UAE
- Inventory and demand planning expertise
- Pricing and promotion strategy experience
- Familiarity with food regulatory standards in the UAE
