Certified Public Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or IFRS
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes including reconciliations and variance analysis
• Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors
• Manage tax compliance activities including federal, state, and local filings
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
• Identify financial risks and recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements
• Support the development and monitoring of internal controls and accounting policies
• Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 8+ years in a senior or supervisory capacity
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as MS Dynamics or NetSuite
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Experience with international and multi-currency accounting processes

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA certification
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in US tax filings or IRS compliance
• Background in tech, SaaS, or startup environments
• Experience with automation or process improvement in finance tasks
