Job description

Responsibilities

  • Run a designated station (hot, cold, pastry, or grill) independently during service.
  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items to recipe and presentation standards.
  • Maintain portion control, taste profiles, and plating consistency across shifts.
  • Complete daily prep tasks, organize mise en place, and ensure readiness for service.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house to ensure timely delivery and order accuracy.
  • Follow food-safety procedures, maintain a clean workstation, and comply with local regulations.
  • Assist with stock rotation, receiving deliveries, and minimizing waste.
  • Mentor junior cooks and support on-the-job training when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years in a professional kitchen; prior experience as a CDP or similar preferred.
  • Strong cooking technique, good knife skills, and ability to work to recipes under pressure.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred; food-safety certification advantageous.
  • Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to lead a small team within your station.
  • Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Right to work in the UAE and ability to commute to Al Ain.
