Chemistry Teacher (Arabic as Medium of Instruction)

Responsibilities

• Model and support a learner-centered, hands-on classroom environment that promotes learner engagement and participation.
• Ensure that students reach the expected age-related outcomes for Chemistry.
• Create a positive, active, language-rich learning environment.
• Support the learning process by identifying needs and guiding students to achieve their learning objectives.
• Ensure assessments are delivered according to the assessment strategy and guidelines, in a valid and rigorous manner.
• Maintain an accurate record of student achievement and performance.
• Create positive and effective relationships with colleagues.

Requirements

• Relevant bachelor's degree (Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, Chemistry and Math, or Bachelor of Education in Chemistry)
• Excellent English proficiency (TOEFL iBT score of 79-93 required)
• 3+ years of full-time teaching experience for expatriates
• No previous teaching experience required for Emirati nationals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Arab youth
• Familiarity with international educational standards
