Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO on strategy, resource allocation, and turnaround trade-offs
• Own capital markets and investor relations, including earnings, SEC reporting, and guidance
• Manage cash, liquidity, and capital structure while maintaining lender relationships
• Lead financial strategy for M&A and strategic partnerships
• Partner with growth and operations on DTC economics, including CAC, payback, and contribution margin
• Drive cost-efficiency and capital discipline across the core business
• Lead and develop a lean, AI-native finance team
• Oversee internal controls, clean audits, and SOX compliance

Requirements

• Experience as a public-company CFO or a high-level deputy in a similar role
• Proven track record of communicating with investors, analysts, and lenders
• Experience negotiating with capital providers and managing M&A processes
• Deep fluency in DTC and subscription economics (cohorts, payback, contribution margin)
• Ability to lead lean teams and leverage AI tooling for automation
• Experience in small-cap, microcap, or turnaround environments is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in retail, CPG, or commerce with marketplace economics fluency
• Experience accelerating a company out of a turnaround phase
• Proven success modernizing finance functions with AI technology
