Responsibilities
Security Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead Fuse’s security strategy across infrastructure, applications, and data.
- Develop and implement security roadmaps, maturity models, and control frameworks aligned to risk profiles.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, threat modeling sessions, and critical design decisions.
- Build and lead a high-performing security team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop KPIs and reporting structures, communicating security posture to leadership and the board.
- Advise executives on security risks, regulatory exposure, and investment priorities for growth.
Governance & Compliance
- Own security governance, including data protection, access control, and insider risk management.
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and relevant frameworks.
- Oversee security audits and third-party risk programs.
Risk Management & Threat Intelligence
- Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews of critical systems.
- Design and deliver security awareness training programs to foster risk management culture.
- Build threat intelligence to stay ahead of emerging risks.
- Balance risk management with engineering and product delivery.
Incident Response & Resilience
- Own response plans for high-severity incidents.
- Build robust detection, containment, and remediation procedures.
- Drive business continuity and disaster recovery strategy.
Technology & Infrastructure Security
- Partner with engineering to embed security in the SDLC and infrastructure.
- Guide secure design for cryptographic systems, transaction flows, and distributed networks.
- Ensure resilience across distributed and on/off-chain devices and systems.
Security Culture & Collaboration
- Promote a security-first culture across all company functions.
- Represent Fuse externally for customer, regulatory, and industry engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years in cybersecurity, with leadership or prior CISO experience.
- Deep understanding of cloud security (especially AWS), application security, and modern DevSecOps.
- Experience securing systems with digital assets, cryptographic components, or distributed infrastructure.
- Solid grasp of regulatory frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, NIST, etc.
- Strong background in threat modeling, incident response, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CTFs, red/blue team exercises, or offensive security.
