Chief Operations Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight of day-to-day operations to ensure alignment with mission and strategic goals
• Lead and integrate core operational functions including finance, HR, IT, legal, and compliance
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and systems for scalability and efficiency
• Drive AI enablement across the organization in partnership with the CIO
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation
• Establish performance metrics to monitor mission impact and financial health
• Lead, coach, and hold accountable the senior leadership team
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies
• Collaborate with the Board of Directors, partners, and vendors to advance objectives
• Support fundraising and development efforts by aligning operations with revenue strategies

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-functional operations and transformation initiatives
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting in a nonprofit environment
• Experience leading seasoned executives across HR, organizational development, and talent management
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements for nonprofit organizations
• Knowledge of information systems, data analytics, and technology infrastructure
• Track record of building and motivating high-performing teams
• Familiarity with nonprofit management principles, governance, and funding structures preferred
