About the Company
Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise and technology markets. Our platform, Ubuntu, is widely used in breakthrough enterprise initiatives such as public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation, and IoT.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead go-to-market strategy, prioritizing sectors and markets
- Create ambitious but sustainable execution plans and metrics with cascading goals
- Review data to correct course on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Sponsor and support leaders in closing large ($10M+ ARR) deals with global enterprises
- Capture and share customer and partner insights to broaden commercial awareness
- Supervise recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes within the revenue organization
- Design and lead career and skills development and continuous improvement
- Cultivate a culture of transparent communication, accountability, and trust
- Demonstrate inspirational leadership and passion for the company mission
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in CS or STEM with business disciplines
- Progressive operational and leadership experience in high-growth, recurring revenue, global technology firms
- Experience leading sales, partnership, or field engineering organizations to world-class performance
- Deep insights into enterprise software and infrastructure markets
Preferred Qualifications
- Software engineering and architecture experience or skills
- Deep industry insights regarding software trends, strategy, and competition
- Knowledge of open source history, dynamics, and strategy
