About the Company

The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is an international volunteers-led think tank supporting and advocating the application of blockchain and other data technologies in the global fight against climate change.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the BCI technology strategy and roadmap
• Build, lead, and manage the Emerging Technology Division and Standards Development Bureau
• Research and identify optimal data sets and AI models for BCI use cases
• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using DLT, IoT, AI, and Machine Learning
• Ensure the quality, reliability, security, and scalability of technology products
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partners and donors
• Stay updated on trends in emerging technologies, climate, and sustainability
• Generate opportunities for strategic partnerships

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in DLT, AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science
• Proficiency in programming blockchain (essential)
• Strong technical skills in Solidity, Python, R, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Ability to commit an average of 20 hours per week
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience leading and managing technology teams using agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming AI algorithms
• A portfolio of supported Open-Source GitHub projects
• Fluency in English and a second language
• Knowledge of Quantum Computing use cases for climate action
