Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, develop, and motivate a team of Claims Adjusters and Claims Specialists
  • Plan and oversee the daily operations of assigned claims teams
  • Review and provide guidance on complex claims involving Auto, Property, Bodily Injury, Casualty, Litigation, and Catastrophe losses
  • Ensure claims are investigated, evaluated, reserved, negotiated, and resolved appropriately
  • Monitor claim quality, operational performance, and compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze performance metrics to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct claim file audits and implement best practices
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and legal counsel to resolve complex matters
  • Support catastrophe response efforts and provide leadership during high-volume situations

Requirements

  • Several years of progressively responsible claims experience (investigation, negotiation, settlement, arbitration, or trial)
  • Leadership experience managing or supervising claims professionals
  • Strong knowledge of claims investigations, coverage analysis, reserving practices, and litigation management
  • Understanding of applicable state and federal insurance regulations
  • Experience analyzing operational metrics and using data to improve performance
  • Strong decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coaching abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of claims experience in Auto and/or Property insurance
  • 3–4 years of claims leadership or management experience
  • Multi-line claims experience
