Responsibilities

  • Support complex large accounts as a secondary Account Manager, contributing to strategy, reporting, and renewal preparation
  • Independently manage a portfolio of smaller large-group clients (100–200 lives) as the primary contact
  • Execute core benefits analyst tasks including financial spreading, carrier marketing, quoting, and data analysis
  • Maintain and configure benefits administration systems
  • Lead renewal and open enrollment preparation, including building presentations and employee education materials
  • Develop and present client deliverables such as decks, reports, and financial summaries
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal operations and external vendors to ensure a seamless client experience

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent employee benefits experience on the brokerage or consulting side
  • Active Health Insurance License
  • Hands-on experience with renewals, carrier marketing, and open enrollment cycles
  • Proficiency in financial spreading, quoting, reporting, and carrier negotiations
  • Experience working with benefits administration systems
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint/Google Slides skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple client timelines and vendor relationships concurrently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large group employer groups
  • Willingness to travel to New York for in-person client meetings on occasion
