Responsibilities
- Support complex large accounts as a secondary Account Manager, contributing to strategy, reporting, and renewal preparation
- Independently manage a portfolio of smaller large-group clients (100–200 lives) as the primary contact
- Execute core benefits analyst tasks including financial spreading, carrier marketing, quoting, and data analysis
- Maintain and configure benefits administration systems
- Lead renewal and open enrollment preparation, including building presentations and employee education materials
- Develop and present client deliverables such as decks, reports, and financial summaries
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal operations and external vendors to ensure a seamless client experience
Requirements
- 5+ years of recent employee benefits experience on the brokerage or consulting side
- Active Health Insurance License
- Hands-on experience with renewals, carrier marketing, and open enrollment cycles
- Proficiency in financial spreading, quoting, reporting, and carrier negotiations
- Experience working with benefits administration systems
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint/Google Slides skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client presentations
- Ability to manage multiple client timelines and vendor relationships concurrently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with large group employer groups
- Willingness to travel to New York for in-person client meetings on occasion
