Job description

Responsibilities

  • Schedule medical appointments by coordinating patients, providers, locations, and payers
  • Manage incoming and outgoing calls from patients and providers following established protocols
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) software to schedule appointments, tests, and procedures
  • Obtain accurate patient demographics including address, telephone, and insurance information
  • Manage electronic requests via drop box and patient portals
  • Distribute faxes and manage related requests
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to organizational values

Requirements

  • 2 years of administration or similar experience preferred
  • Previous medical office experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA regulations preferred
