Job description

Responsibilities

  • Categorize, code, summarize, interpret and calculate registry/case information from patient medical records
  • Ensure quality submission of all data in specified registries or measure data repositories
  • Prioritize and meet tight deadlines for multiple concurrent tasks
  • Navigate electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools
  • Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, and abstraction guidelines
  • Stay updated on mandated regulatory and publicly reported data requirements

Requirements

  • Direct experience in cardiac clinical care or cardiac surgical care
  • Exposure to multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • High standards for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain PHI security and confidentiality
