Clinical Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated support to patients and physicians to improve medication adherence and promote evidence-based care
• Review clinician assessments for prior authorization approvals and care plan recommendations
• Monitor patient adherence across various disease categories, specifically oncology and specialty states
• Perform medication therapy management (MTM) including drug regimen optimization and medication reconciliation
• Recommend alternative therapeutic drug regimens and monitor for side effects
• Oversee technician activities including delivery coordination and prior authorization logs
• Identify and resolve insurance-related issues and financial assistance opportunities
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and state/federal pharmacy regulations

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent advanced degree
• Valid Pharmacist license
• North Carolina license required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong clinical and technical skills
• Ability to identify barriers to medication adherence and coach patients

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of pharmacy experience
• Knowledge of EPIC, QS1, or WILLOW software
• Expertise in specialty pharmacy areas such as Oncology, Transplant, Hepatitis C, or Infectious Disease
