Clinical Provider CLC

Responsibilities

• Provide direct lactation consultation services via secure virtual platforms to prenatal and postpartum women
• Conduct professional services consultations via telehealth to assess patients and provide education on lactation, infant feeding, and maternal mental health
• Document findings in exam forms and provide proper resources to patients
• Develop individual care plans including written instructions, resources, and follow-up plans
• Complete all clinical documentation, including assessments and instructions, on the same day as the appointment
• Make necessary referrals and coordinate care with outside providers
• Schedule subsequent patient appointments

Requirements

• Professional certification as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in good standing
• 3 years of direct clinical experience in a healthcare setting
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a CLC
• High School Diploma (Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred)
• Knowledge of HIPAA, EHR data management, and clinical documentation standards
• Strong active listening and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
